I
just love what I do! Sometimes I think God created the World
Wide Web as a playground just for me! NO--seriously, the business
of web design requires a combination of skills that I enjoy--some
writing/editing, some graphic designing, a bit of photography,
and detailed planning & organization. Best of all, it
offers me the privilege of meeting and working with interesting
people and learning about their professions.
A
teacher for several years, I dabbled in all of the above and
taught the skills I now use. I loved teaching, too, but now
I get to see the results of my own work, while then
I enjoyed seeing the products of my students. Even now, the
teacher in me gets into the act as I explain the workings
of a web presence to my clients. I really do have the best
of all worlds!
My
office is in Monmouth, ME, but the Internet allows me to design
sites for anyone, anywhere (witness the Rock Island, IL, high
school alumni site in my portfolio). While I have to limit
my photography to central & southern Maine, I often use
the photos people send me through email or the USPS.
As
you think about the possibilities of a website for your own
enterprise, I hope you will consider Mini Webbin' & Me! |
